Managing your translations

SwiftLingo translates your website automatically. You can review every translation, change wording by hand and mark it as approved.

In the dashboard: TranslationsLanguagesOpen Languages

The Languages page shows a card per language with how much has been reviewed. Click a card to open its translations, then:

  • pick a page under Select Page (the translations are grouped per page);
  • switch language with Context Language;
  • search with Search content on this page…;
  • filter on Manual or Automated translations, and on Approved or Pending.

Each row shows the Original text next to its Translation.

  1. Click Edit on the row.
  2. Type your wording and click Save.

Your version replaces the automated one on your live site and is marked Manual.

To go back to the automated translation, click Restore Automated.

Click Approve when a translation is right. Approval Status at the top shows how much of the page is approved, and changes to Done at 100%. Click Unapprove to mark it for review again.

Approving doesn’t change what visitors see; it’s how you and your team track what has been checked.

Remove Mapping deletes a translation. If the original text is still on your site, SwiftLingo translates it again, so this is a way to get a fresh automated translation.

View Live opens the page in the selected language. If a page changed and the translations look out of date, Scan Page fetches it again.
